Cory's Story: Cory is the typical young BT who is still just a bit in his puppy phase. Energetic and playful, he loves chasing the water in the hose, playing with his ball, and falling asleep in your lap upside down. We think that Cory may have escaped someone's home on the 4th of July and wandered until found in someone's garage trying to eat trash. He was skinny and dirty and had an eye infection from scratches when we pulled him from the shelter. Now he is now eating up a storm and playing like crazy. He has also been neutered. Cory has learned his new name, knows how to sit, stay and come on command. He is housetrained with a doggy door to pee pee, but we are having some retraining issues with his stools. Apparently whoever had Cory in the past had never allowed him outside, and he had been trained to potty only in the bathroom. He is making great progress in this and uses the doggy door 95% of the time now. Cory does not care for cats at all. He loves to jump in the water, but has absolutely no fear of it, so must be watched carefuly to make sure he does not try to do this unsuperivsed. Cory does not like crates, but he is learning that it can be a safe place to be and not to be afraid in it. Cory loves to sleep curled up in bed right next to you. He does snore, like most BTs. Cory becomes fearful when his family is not in sight, and is learning that going for walks and beling alone for a short period does not mean he is going to be left. He will suckle on his stuffed toys when sleepy or stressed. Cory is just an all around delight!
