Get that ball Sammy!!
Sammy is a silly boy who is so happy to play ball with anyone who wants to toss it to him. We were asked by Riverside Shelter to take Sammy because he had come from a very un-pleasant past. Sammy had an old eye injury that had never been treated, leaving a gapping socket where his eye had once been. He was dumped from a terrible man's car trunk and lucky for him, a nice woman saw this and brought Sammy to the Riverside shelter.
We got Sammy neutered and the eye nicely closed. He is now a happy boy with a permanent wink and is ready to love and play. Sammy will do best as an only dog and needs an active family who wants to include him in their daily lives. Sammy is working hard on learning to use the doggy door and is successful about 95% of the time. Good boy Sammy!!
He is eager to please and just wants to be a part of an active lifestyle. While Sammy was kenneled with three dogs at the shelter, we have found that as Sammy gets comfortable and secure in his surroundings, he wants to be the boss of his home, his ball and his territory, so we feel Sammy needs placement with no other dogs to compete with. We think Sammy is about 18 months old. He is tall, with beautiful markings. He weighs about 25 pounds and is very lean.
Issues: Needs wood or block wall fencing as he climbs chain link. Needs to be only dog.
Bosley/Sammy's Story: Fun, ball playing, happy tall boy

Hi. I am Sammy and I am looking for a great new home where I will be loved forever
|

I thought my ability to climb right up and over a chain link fence was really special. The nice people at Boston Brigade say it is not a skill most people appreciate, so I am looking for a home with a block wall or wooden fencing.

I love to be active...playing ball is my favorite thing in the world to do.

I have so much fun with my new family. We often go sailing and I am the captin of the boat. My new life with my famiy is the best. Better than I ever dreamed of.
